Up and Coming: iChvse

In a time where social media serves as a platform for daily viral videos, many talented people are taking advantage of the opportunity and Chase Brown is no exception. Chase, aka @iChvse, is a hilarious video creator based out of New York. He’s had multiple videos go viral across the top social media platforms and is looking to not only continue making entertaining content, but eventually become a lead actor in Hollywood. We here at UD love his videos and wish him the best in the future!

Q:  Tell our readers a little about yourself.

A:  I’m 22 years old and have been living by myself in the Big Apple for the last five years. While originally moving here for a business opportunity, I stumbled upon Vine as a hobby. As I exited the business world unexpectedly, it gave me more time to focus on doing videos as a full-time job. I plan on moving to LA at the top of 2018 to pursue film even more.

Q:  What got you into filming/acting?

A:  Being on set a couple times, I fell in love with the atmosphere. Everything about it interested me as soon as I got the call sheet. I was amazed that this was considered work and how much fun it is. I wish to do this for the rest of my life.

Q:  When did you realize you had a future in creating videos?

A:  I had a couple videos go viral for me, receiving attention from peers and celebrities. The first time I got recognized by a fan in the street was very motivational for me. I already loved making videos and to see that people love it as well is amazing to me and it's a constant reminder to keep going.

Q:  Who is a director and/or actor that has influenced your work?

A:  Being more into film now, I notice a lot more things on screen than I did before. Trying to take notes on certain directors like James Wan, Quentin Tarantino, & Alejandro González Iñárritu. Also, actors like Will Smith, Michael B. Jordan, & Evan Peters. Watching and learning from the greats and trying to implement things into your game I feel to be an extremely useful tactic in this industry.

Q:  Which video of yours was your favorite to make?

A:  Hmmm.... I know I’m known for my comedy but to be honest my favorite videos to create we’re my action videos. My “Ice Cream is Life” fight video and “Getting Distracted” action sequence in Prospect Park.

Q:  Which video is the most popular?

A:  “When You Spot Someone Talking to Bae”; That video total has over 100m views across multiple pages on Facebook and Instagram. Definitely blew me up on Facebook.

Q:  How did you meet Chuk Morka and what’s it been like working with him?

A:  I met Chuk 5 years ago right before I moved to NYC, through Instagram. One of the funniest and easiest guys I’ve worked with in my career. Definitely my go-to collab for something big I need.

Q:  If you could spend the day with one celebrity who would it be and why?

A:  Kevin Hart; I’ve been a big fan and following his moves for years now. He’s pretty much tackled everything in the comedy, social media, film, and business realms. I could learn so much from him and he seems like good energy to be around and feed off of. Also, to just kick it with him would be awesome.

Q:  What are some of your goals for the next 5 years?

A:  In the next five years I could see myself having at least 1 lead role in a movie and being a supporting role in others, and/or recurring role in a TV show. In addition to that, I would love to make my own film(s), whether short film, feature film, or episodic series. I have a passion for both directing and acting and would love to show it off.

Q:  Outside of social media videos, what have been some other projects you’ve been featured on?

A:  I just completed filming for my first short film called “The Bullet”. That was the biggest step I think have taken in my career, being that I executive produced, co-directed, cast, starred in, and will eventually edit the entire film. It was definitely a challenge but I enjoyed it. I love all 3 phases of production (pre-production, production, post-production); No better way to learn than to dive in and do it yourself!!

Q:  What excites you the most about being featured on Uncharted Domain?

A:  I love what you guys do with showcasing up and coming talent/artists. Also how the website is run, it is truly an honor and thank you!!
